i recently discovered your blog and think you are very talented. how did you get into photography? what inspires you?

Thank you! I was inspired to get into photography when a professional took my family's photos. I don't really know why, but I really wanted to be a photographer after that. I picked up a point-n-shoot camera which I had for a year, then bought Nikon D80 D-SLR which I've had for almost a year. I don't find I am inspired by anything so much as just trying to get a cool shot. I'm just doing this for fun so I do what I want. :)
Brian: I used curves in Photoshop CS2 for the first one. For the second one, I used curves, added vignetting, brightness to the middle, a red layer, a purple layer, a sepia layer, another curves layer and some unsharp mask.
