Did you wake him up to get his photo?
No. He got up 1/2 second after I took the first photo. I talked to him for 20 minutes before I took the second photo.
Amazing portrait, nick! was that in front of St. Mary's? Awesome.

Katie: Yes this was in front of St. Mary's.
Brian: I sure hope so. In addition to providing some basic company, I think that talking to him really helped the photo. He really loosened up and he looks very natural, as opposed to my first homeless portrait (John), in which he looks as stiff and as lifelike as a board.
