Good job. I like the first photo, the lines look very pleasant against the motorcycle. My photography teacher sent me the link to a "Oregon only photo contest", thought you might be interested, I'll send you the link but I tried to go to it, and it didn't work or wasn't up yet. Anyways bug me about it cause I might forget. :)
Actually, the lines are from a garage. This was at my brother's Taekwondo testing, and I stepped outside briefly to get some air, and I saw this.
I can't believe you've seen Dave Hill's work! How'd you find him? His photos are incredible. I think that everyone should check his stuff out, even if they don't like these photos and their style. Someday, I'm going to have several hundred White Lightnings, just like D.H. I'd thought about putting up a link to his work a couple months ago, but decided against it.
Np~ After you said the lines came from a garage, I can totally see it now.
I found DH off of diy photography. I didn't like him at first but for so reason the HDR look has really grown on me, and now I love it.
With regards to White Lightings. I highly advised everyone to check out Pro Photo Life. He's got a video every monday and he's currently with lighting. I'd so get the kit he's working with right now, if I didn't need PS or LR. (Or a tripod for that matter.)

I like the lines in the background for the first one but I'm not digging the fake look... you know? Maybe I'm just weird but...
Yeah, Tim, shoot that my way; I'd love to take a look at it.
Emily:
I completely understand. I was trying to create a "fake look", though. The look is my "lightroom HDR". For some other HDR you won't like, go here.
Great photos. I like the first one a lot. The lines off of the semi looks great. (I'm just assuming the lines are from a semi.)
Awesome link here's one I like.
