Day 106 - Coke Bottle

In the vein of Brian's studio shots. Used two flashlights, three pieces of tracing paper, and a flash.

These are great! Did you use a tripod? I love the small DOF in the last one. (did I use the term right? hope so..)

Yeah, I did use a tripod. My external flash does not sync with my camera, so I use a shutter speed like 1.5 seconds and fire the flash during the exposure. So I am forced to use a tripod so that I can use the slow shutter speed. I don't normally use a tripod, unless I am shooting landscapes or stuff like this. The tech info, top to bottom: 2 sec. self timer/ 1 sec. shutter/ f/11 /ISO 100/55mm

2 sec. self timer/ 1sec shutter/ f/11 /ISO 100/ 62mm

2sec. self timer/ .3 sec. shutter / f/7.1 /ISO 100/ 135 mm

I adjusted the lights for each photo, using different combos of reflectors, diffusers and flashlights. And yes, DOF is used correctly (Depth of Field).
